Acquired in July 2005, 250 Bishopsgate helped establish Evans Randall Investors as a leading participant in the central London property investment market.

The purchase was undertaken as a sale-and-leaseback transaction of ABN AMRO’s headquarters building, with ABN AMRO entering into a new 30-year lease where the rent payable was indexed to the UK Retail Price Index.

The asset was later sold to Prudential and generated an uplift to the purchase price of £57m.
